The ability to cruise around the Kanto region on the back of your favorite Pokemon is one of the most welcomed new features in Pokemon Let's Go, and there are 18 to choose from. Fans of the fluffy fire puppy Arcanine will be pleased to learn that it is one of those aforementioned Pokemon, and we'll tell you how to acquire one quickly and easily.

There's a generous lady sitting on a bench in the middle of Vermilion City who asks trainers to show her five Meowths. Once you catch them and return, she'll reward you with an Arcanine.

This means you'll need to go out and find some, but that isn't the first step in this process. The first thing you'll want to do is take note of which version of Pokemon Let's Go you have. Meowth is only available in the Eevee edition of the game, and this lady will only trade for an Arcanine in this version as well. Those with the Pikachu edition will have to get an Arcanine the old fashioned way, with a fire stone and a Growlithe.

Once you're prepared, head to the area north of Cerulean City. There, it shouldn't take too much time to encounter and catch five Meowth. Bring them back to the lady and she'll hand over an Arcanine. It's just that easy!

Acquired your Growlithe and wondering what to do next? Try exchanging fossils for rare Pokemon. At an early portion of the game, players have to choose between two fossils at the end of their journeys through Mount Moon. Depending on which you pick, you'll get a specific, extinct Pokemon. The Dome Fossil will reward a Kabuto, while the Helix Fossil will yield an Omanyte.

If becoming the very best is a little lonely, try out the new 2-player co-op feature that lets you and a friend train together. There are definitely some benefits to working together, so if you think a journey through Kanto would be better with a buddy, check out our guide on co-op muliplayer.
