For those who've played the gen 4 Pokemon games or their 2021 remakes, many of the locations found throughout Pokemon Legends: Arceus will be incredibly familiar. This includes the Snowpoint Temple, which players will need to visit during their quest to befriend the fifth and final mountable Noble Pokemon, Hisuian Braviary.

Upon their arrival at the temple, players will be faced with a series of statues inspired by the three Legendary Titans and will need to solve a series of puzzles based on how these statues are positioned. For those wondering which panels they should press and in what order, or anyone looking to learn how to figure these things out for themselves, this guide has all the answers.

Updated May 24, 2022, by Tom Bowen: Ever since the original release of Pokemon Diamond & Pearl, Snowpoint City and the areas surrounding it have been synonymous with puzzles. As well as the now-infamous Snowpoint City Gym ice puzzle, the games also featured a post-game puzzle at the nearby Snowpoint Temple, which players needed to solve in order to find and catch Regigigas. Though the gym doesn't feature in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Snowpoint Temple does and once again features a thought-provoking puzzle for players to wrap their heads around. Thankfully, the Snowpoint Temple statue puzzle is nowhere near as challenging as some of those which preceded it, though it may still prove tricky for those who don't understand how it works. To combat this, this guide will explain everything that there is to know about the puzzle, as well as provide simple solutions for all three of the puzzle's sections.

Those simply looking for the statue puzzle solutions should skip the following section and head straight for the "Which Panels Should You Press in the Snowpoint Temple?" section just beneath it.

How to Solve the Snowpoint Temple Puzzle

After following the quest marker up a few flights of steps, players will find their progress halted by a locked door with three panels fitted into it. These panels represent the three elements of the original Legendary Titan trio: Rock, Ice, and Steel. They'll also receive a cryptic clue that reads "Wither the statues gaze..." before being asked which panel they'd like to press first.

In order to solve this puzzle, players will need to find the first statue on their current floor and then pay attention to the direction in which it's looking. Following its line of sight will lead to another statue, with this chain repeating until players eventually come across one that's looking at the locked door. Each of these statues has an elemental symbol on it, which players can double-check by pressing the A button to investigate while they're standing near.

To open the door, players will need to press the door panels that correspond to these symbols in the order that they find them. As mentioned above, it's important that they start with the first statue on each floor (these are usually in an alcove with a wall at their back), while also being sure not to miss any statues that may be hidden behind walls or windows. In total, there are three doors that need to be opened this way, with their solutions requiring three, five, and six statues respectively.

What to Do After Solving the Snowpoint Temple Statue Puzzle

Upon unlocking the third and final door, players will find themselves at the top of Snowpoint Temple. There, they'll once again run into Warden Sabi, who will need to be beaten in battle before players can continue onward. She only has three Pokemon in her team, but one of them is a level 50 Rhyperior that could cause players one or two problems if they're ill-prepared. To make matters worse, Sabi will throw out all three of her Pokemon at the same time, meaning that players will also need to deal with a Magmortar and an Electivire, both of which are at level 30.

To deal with Warden Sabi's Rhyperior, players should bring along a Pokemon with access to either Water or Grass-type attacks. Water would be better, as this can also be used to deal with Magmortar. Alternatively, players can opt to deal with Magmortar using Ground-type moves, which will also be effective against Electivire (as too will Rock-type attacks). Empoleon is a good option here, as it can learn Bulldoze and Rock Slide with the help of the Move Shop. The same is also true for Walrein and Sealeo, both of which can be easily caught at the Cobalt Coastlands.

After beating Warden Sabi, players can head through the door behind her and up to the roof of Snowpoint Temple for another battle, this time against Hisuian Braviary. It's level 54, though, thanks to its weakness to Ghost, Dark, Rock, Electric, and Ice-type moves, players should have very little trouble taking it down. Walrein is once again a good option here, although Hisuian Typhlosion and Hisuian Samurott should also have no trouble taking it down thanks to their secondary typings being Ghost and Dark respectively.

Once Hiusian Braviary has been defeated a short cutscene will play out. Players will then receive the Sky Plate and gain the ability to summon a rideable Hisuian Braviary. Upon regaining control, they should climb onto Braviary and glide down to Avalugg's Legacy, on top of which they'll find a piece of Eternal Ice. There'll then be another cutscene, after which, players will need to make their way over to the Icepeak Arena, where they'll soon be facing off against Avalugg, the monstrously large Lord of the Tundra.
