When exploring Hisui in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, some Pokemon are docile and easy to catch, while others have an aggressive disposition and need to be stunned or battled first. Paras and Parasect are Bug/Grass-type Pokemon that most players weren't expecting to be aggressive. Unfortunately, the Paras-line will attack with Stun Spore and Poison Powder, which can be a nuisance when trying to explore. However, there's a sidequest that requires players to catch a Parasect, so it's a good idea to try and add one to the Pastures.

How to Start Request 33

Some Requests need to be taken from the blackboard in Laventon's office. Request 33: What a Massive Mushroom! is one of these. If players are consistent with their Star Rank, they may already have a Parasect by the time this sidequest becomes available. If not, there are a few different ways to get Parasect in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

This Request unlocks once players start Mission 8: Arezu's Predicament. There should be a Poke Ball icon over the Galaxy Hall, so go inside and inspect Laventon's blackboard. Then, track Request 33 on the map to find Morel. To track a Mission/Request, open the map with (-) and then press the Y-button. Select Request 33 and it should mark an icon over one of the houses in Jubilife Village. Once players have spoken with Morel, the next step is to catch a Parasect.

Parasect Location

Obsidian Fieldlands

Paras and Parasect can be caught as early as the Obsidian Fieldlands. Go to the Fieldlands Camp and to the right of the camp is Nature's Pantry. There is an Alpha Parasect (level 30) circled in red on the above image. If players are Rank 3, they can catch Alpha Parasect and give this to Morel.

In case they aren't Rank 3 or they simply don't want to give Morel an Alpha Pokemon, they can catch one of the surrounding Paras instead. Paras evolves at level 24, so keep it in the party or feed it Exp. Candies (M).

Crimson Mirelands

If players don't want the Alpha Parasect or want to waste time training Paras, they can catch Parasect in the Crimson Mirelands. There are Parasect near the campfire where players first meet the Miss Fortune Sisters. They're also found in the Golden Lowlands.

Finally, there are Parasect in the Droning Meadow, but players will need Basculegion to reach them. Instead, north of the Diamond Settlement and south of Brava Arena, there's an area called Cloudpool Ridge where Parasect and Paras can be found.

Request 33 Reward

Once Parasect is added to the party/Pastures, return to Jubilife Village and speak to Morel to turn in the Request. He'll want to keep the Parasect, and unlike the Jubilife Village's Farm, it cannot be swapped out once it's given away, so choose carefully.

As a reward, Morel gives 5 Candy Truffles, which can be used to craft bait such as Honey Cakes and Bean Cakes.
