Mythical and Legendary Pokemon are among the series' most desirable creatures, thanks both to their rarity and their peerless prowess in battle. In total, there are 18 of them in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, though players will only be able to get their hands on two of them before they complete the game's main story.

Once the post-game begins, however, players will be able to begin hunting down the rest of these powerful Pokemon, with the majority tied to requests and additional story missions. Like in previous games, players can catch Regigigas inside Snowpoint Temple, which is located in the Alabaster Icelands area. To do so, they'll first need to initiate story mission #24 by beating the main story and speaking with Cogita. With that out of the way, they should make their way to the temple's lower levels. There, the Icicle, Iron, and Stone plates will open up a large stone door that grants access to Regigigas' chamber.

Cresselia

Those hoping to catch Cresselia will first need to initiate story mission #23 by speaking with Cogita at the Ancient Retreat after finishing the main story. After doing so, they'll need to make their way to the Moonview Arena in the Coronet Highlands and speak with Warden Melli. Once the conversation is over, they'll find themselves in the arena, where Cresselia lies in wait.

To catch Tornadus, players will need to have caught or defeated Giratina at the Turnback Cave. Doing so will unlock request #94, which is handed out by Cogita. After accepting the request, players should make their way to the Bonechill Wastes area of the Alabaster Icelands. For Tornadus to appear, there needs to be a blizzard taking place, so if the weather is mild, players should return to the nearest base camp and rest until it starts to snow heavily. When Tornadus finally appears, players will need to hit it with a Poke Ball to lower its shield and then quickly throw in a Pokemon to engage it in battle before it has a chance to recover. To switch between the Pokemon's Incarnate and Therian forms, players will need the Reveal Glass, which is obtained by returning to Cogita after catching Enamorus and completing ten or more of its Pokedex research tasks.

After doing so, they should complete their Pokédex entries and return to Cogita, who'll then ask them to find the fourth and newest member of the Forces of Nature. Players can then head to the Crimson Mirelands area, where they'll find Enamorus floating around in the Scarlet Bog. As with the other Forces of Nature, they'll need to hit it with a Poke Ball to lower its shield before theu can engage it in battle. To switch between the Pokemon's Incarnate and Therian forms, players will need the Reveal Glass, which is obtained by returning to Cogita after completing ten or more of its Pokedex research tasks.

Players will catch Dialga at the Temple of Sinnoh as part of the main story. To unlock Dialga's Origin Forme, they'll need to finish the main story and then find Adaman on the path connecting Lake Valor and the Diamond Settlement. If they're able to beat him in battle, he'll hand over the Adamant Crystal, which, when used on Dialga, will cause it to transform into its Origine Forme.

Palkia

Players will catch Palkia at the Temple of Sinnoh as part of the main story. To unlock Palkia's Origin Forme, they'll need to finish the main story and then find Irida near the Pearl Settlement. If they're able to beat her in battle, she'll hand over the Lustrous Globe, which, when used on Palkia, will cause it to transform into its Origine Forme.

Giratina

Players will be able to catch Giratina in the Turnback Cave, which is located in the Cobalt Coastlands area. Before they can do so, however, they'll first need to complete the main story, collect 17 of the mysterious plates, and then beat Volo and Giratina at the Temple of Sinnoh. This will unlock request #91 from Professor Laventon, which will direct players to the cave via the Spring Path. Upon being caught, Giratina will drop the Griseous Core key item, which players can use to switch between its Altered and Origin Formes.

Arceus

Where to Find Arceus in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

To catch Arceus, players will need to find 239 of the 242 Pokemon that are available in the game (all but Shaymin, Darkrai, and Arceus itself) and then speak with Professor Laventon. He'll suggest returning to the Temple of Sinnoh, which can be found at the top of Mount Coronet in the Coronet Highlands area. Once there, players will need to play the Azure Flute to make Arceus appear. They'll then need to beat it in a Noble Pokemon-style battle, after which, they'll receive the Legend Plate and the God Pokemon will be added to their lineup.

Phione

Where to Find Phione in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

To catch Manaphy, players will need to complete the main story and then head over to the blackboard in Galaxy Hall. There, they'll find request #66, which will require them to catch a Buizel, a Mantyke, and an Overqwil. With these three Pokemon in their party, they should then head out to the spiked rock formation near the Sand's Reach area of the Cobalt Coastlands during evening hours. Doing so will trigger a short cutscene, after which players will be able to find both Phione and Manaphy in the Seaside Hollow area, which is accessed via the ocean near Castaway Shore.

To catch Manaphy, players will need to complete the main story and then head over to the blackboard in Galaxy Hall. After accepting it, they'll need to head to the Fieldlands Camp in the Obsidian Fieldlands and speak with Medi, who'll mention a Pokemon she remembers from her childhood. Players can then find Shaymin in the Floaro Gardens area, which is in the northwest region of the Obsidian Fieldlands. Those wishing to transform Shaymin into its Sky Forme can do so by using the Gracidea flower that was given to them earlier on by Medi.

Darkrai

Where to Find Darkrai in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

In order to catch Darkrai, players will need to have save data from either Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl on their Switch. Assuming they do, a special request will appear on the blackboard in Galaxy Hall after they've completed the main story. After accepting it, they'll be able to find Darkrai in the Clamberclaw Cliffs area of the Coronet Highlands, though only during nighttime hours.
