The limited-time Pokemon web series called Hisuian Snow has just had its third and final episode. The anime is based on the world introduced in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, taking place in a past version of the Sinnoh region from the fourth generation of the mainline games.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus players that would like to own a new special piece of clothing can now use the Mystery Gift feature to receive a Shiny Hisuian Zoroark-themed mask called the Shiny Baneful Fox Mask. This guide will show Pokemon Legends: Arceus fans how they can get their hands on this unique item.
How to Get Shiny Baneful Fox Mask in Pokemon Legends: Arceus
Pokemon Legends: Arceus players can follow these steps to obtain the Shiny Baneful Fox Mask for free:
- Start up the Pokemon Legends: Arceus application on the Nintendo Switch.
- Load up the save file.
- Press the up button on the d-pad to open the Satchel menu.
- Press ZL/ZR to tab over to the Communications screen.
- Click on Mystery Gifts > Get Via Internet.
- Choose the Clothing Gift to unlock the special Fox Mask.
- Head to the Clothier shop in Jubilife Village, and speak to Anthe.
- Choose the Change Clothing option, and then the new item will be available underneath the Hat section.
The distribution period for the Fox Mask will end on May 31, 2023, giving players plenty of time to receive the gift.
How to Unlock Mystery Gift
Unfortunately, players that have just started their adventure in Pokemon Legends: Arceus will need to wait a little bit before they can receive mystery gifts from The Pokemon Company. Specifically, players will be able to unlock the Mystery Gift feature once they get to the fifth main story mission, A Request from Mai.
If players are mainly focusing on the main story missions, it should only take a few short hours until the feature is unlocked. However, for those that spend lots of time completing Pokemon Legends: Arceus' sidequests, getting to Mission 5 can take a bit longer.
Even though Pokemon Legends: Arceus was released several months ago at this point, players should expect there to be a couple of more surprises when it comes to new Mystery Gift promotions, at least until Pokemon Scarlet and Violet come out.
