The Pokemon Company tried something a little different when it came to revealing new Hisuian Pokemon for Pokemon Legends: Arceus. The Hisuian forms of Zorua and Zoroark were teased with a Blair Witch-style found footage trailer that mimicked horror movies, though the teasers only gave fans brief glimpses at the Pokemon. Now a new trailer for Pokemon Legends: Arceus gives fans a closer look at Hisuian Zorua and Zoroark as they will appear in the new game.

The latest Pokemon Legends: Arceus trailer starts by showing Hisuian Zorua as the Pokemon will appear in-game. Unlike the original Zorua, which is a Dark-type Pokemon, Hisuian Zorua has a unique Normal/Ghost-typing, the first of its kind in the Pokemon franchise. The new Pokemon Legends: Arceus trailer shows the Spiteful Fox Pokemon in action against a Swinub before showing offing Hisuian Zorua's evolved form.

The original form of Zorua evolves to Zoroark when it hits level 30, but it's unclear if it will be the same for the Hisuian variants. In any case, Hisuian Zorua evolves to Hisuian Zoroark, the Baneful Fox Pokemon. Hisuian Zoroark is a Normal/Ghost-type Pokemon like its predecessor. Pokemon fans get to see Hisuian Zorua and Hisuian Zoroark interact with each other briefly at the end of the trailer.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus Hisui Region Forms

  • Braviary
  • Growlithe
  • Zorua
  • Zoroark

Hisuian Zorua and Zoroark are just the latest Hisuian variants of existing Pokemon that have been confirmed for Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Hisuian Braviary and Hisuian Growlithe have also been confirmed for Pokemon Legends: Arceus, and while they haven't been revealed at the time of this writing, one has to imagine that the other members of their evolutionary lines will get special Hisui region forms as well.

Besides Hisuian variants, Pokemon Legends: Arceus is also introducing new evolved forms for existing Pokemon. There's Basculegion, which is a new evolved form of Basculin, as well as Wyrdeer, which is a new evolved form for Stantler. There's also Kleavor, a new evolution for Scyther that is also a Noble Pokemon, meaning it will serve as one of the "boss" fight Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

It's quite possible that there are even more new Pokemon set to debut in Pokemon Legends: Arceus that have yet to be revealed, so fans should keep their eyes peeled. The Pokemon Legends: Arceus release date is scheduled for early next year, so it's possible new information will pop up in the weeks ahead.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus launches January 28, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
