Today, The Pokemon Company has officially revealed the wooden-looking Hisuian Voltorb, which is reflective of the wooden Poke Balls used in the Hisuian region. Hisuian Voltorb marks the 14th Pokemon confirmed in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. These are just a few of the many reveals for the Pokemon Legends: Arceus game.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus may be the newest game coming soon in the series, but changes the pace by taking place in a time long before the other games. The Hisuian region and Pokemon will be the 9th gen in the series, even though it takes place in what will later be the Sinnoh region. As time gets closer to the release date for Pokemon Legends: Arceus, the company continues to offer more reveals of how the region changes the types of Pokemon. Recently, The Pokemon Company revealed the Hisuian Qwilfish, which may be the first Poison/Steel-type Pokemon.

Instead of being purely Electric-type, the Hisuian Voltorb is an Electric/Grass-type Pokemon. The Pokemon features a "wood-grain-like makeup" over its hollow body that stores seed that it occasionally spouts out of the hole in its head. This hole is also used to discharge the electricity stored when it gets excited, which can happen often for this high-spirited Pokemon. With so many Pokemon changing types in the new region, many have speculated that the starters may have a Hisuian Form with specific types for the region.

The video posted to Twitter shows how just different the original and new versions of Voltorb are with the cute animations and hyper personality of the Hisuian region Pokemon. Though the Hisuian Voltorb features a friendlier personality than its Kanto cousins, it still has a habit of accidentally shocking those around it, though out of excitement instead of anger.

Despite its friendly demeanor, the Pokemon website mentions that villagers consider the Hisuian Voltorb a nuisance and temporarily plug the hole on its head and kick it out of settlements. Things like this are leading many to think Pokemon Legends: Arceus continues to highlight the darker aspects of the Pokemon universe.

With the darker themes and new battle style where the player fights Pokemon, this game has many fans anxious about how well it will turn out. With just a little over a month to go before the game's release, fans still have time to check out every early purchase bonus for Pokemon Legends: Arceus, on top of preorder bonuses.
