Since the Pokemon series was released back in the 1990s, the franchise has become one of the most successful of all time. The franchise began in video games a while back, and numerous Pokemon titles have arrived since, the latest being Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus became a commercial success and received mostly positive feedback from the gaming community. The game sold more than 6.5 million copies within the first week of its release. Pokemon Legends: Arceus keeps the core gameplay of previous titles while adding some new features. Interestingly, the game is set in ancient times in the Sinnoh region, which was known as the Hisui region back then.

In addition, the game consists of several characters, each with a different role in the game. Professor Laventon is one of them who is usually seen wearing a hat. However, a significant chunk of the Pokemon Legends: Arceus fanbase doesn't like the Professor's hat. Answering the call of these gamers, one fan did an experiment to see what Professor Laventon would look like without his signature hat. Recently, Reddit user NikaVS uploaded a series of images showing him without his headgear. Interestingly, the Reddit community suggests Laventon looks better without the hat while also showing their dissatisfaction with game devs for adding the hat in the first place. For those who are unaware, Professor Laventon is a Pokemon professor who is a member of the Galaxy Team's Survey Corps and studies the Pokemon in the Hisui region. He makes his first appearance on the Prelude Beach and interacts with the player after they've fallen through the spacetime rift. He assigns a few tasks to the player, and upon completion, he takes the player to the Jubilife Village for recruitment to the Galaxy Team's Survey Corps. Finally, Professor Laventon offers the player to choose one starter Pokemon from a selection of three, including Cyndaquil, Oshawott, and Rowlet.

Speaking of Rowlet, which is a Grass/Flying type Pokemon, was recently the subject of a viral video clip. The odd Pokemon Legends: Arceus clip shows Rowlet fleeing the battle before it even begins. Reddit user KingAster35 uploaded a video showing the peculiar phenomena.

Rowlet is among the three starter Pokemon available to players, and each of them has unique advantages and flaws. Many Pokemon Legends: Arceus gamers are confused about starter Pokemon as they aren't sure which one to choose.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus is available now for Nintendo Switch.
