That Pokemon Legends: Arceus would contain regional Pokemon didn't really come as too much of a surprise to long-term fans of the series. After all, both Alola and Galar received them in recent years, and so it only made sense for Hisui to have its own regional forms as well. Indeed, Hisuian Pokemon were ultimately revealed fairly early on in the game's development, but that's not to say that there weren't still one or two big surprises in Game Freak's latest Pokemon game.

As well as Hisuian forms, Pokemon Legends: Arceus includes some new evolutions and even a brand-new Legendary Pokemon in the form of Enamorus. Perhaps the biggest surprise of all comes in the final main story boss fight though, in which either Palkia or Dialga transforms into its Origin Forme. Naturally, this led many players to wonder whether they too could unlock these powerful new forms for themselves. As those who've ventured into Pokemon Legends: Arceus' post-game content a little will already know, the answer to that question is a resounding yes.

How to Get Origin Forme Dialga

In order to transform Dialga into its Origin Forme, players will need to complete the main story and then make their way over to the Crimson Mirelands. Once there, they should look for Adaman, who can be found waiting around on the pathway that leads from the Diamond Settlement up to Lake Valor. Speaking with him will trigger a special request in which he'll challenge the player to one final battle.

If players agree, they'll be thrown straight into a battle with three of Adaman's Pokemon. His Level 64 Leafeon is by far the biggest threat, but they'll also need to deal with an Umbreon and a Vaporeon as well - both of which are Level 32. After defeating all three Pokemon, Adaman will hand over the Adamant Crystal, which can then be found in the Key Items pocket of the Satchel and used to transform Dialga into its Origin Forme.

How to Get Origin Forme Palkia

Players hoping to transform Palkia into its Origin Form will also need to have completed the main story. Rather than going to the Crimson Mirelands, however, they'll instead need to make their way over to the Pearl Settlement in the northeastern part of the Alabaster Icelands. There, they'll find Irida, who'll offer to hand over the Pearl Clan's treasure if players can defeat her in battle.

Like Adaman before her, Irida has three Eeveelutions in her team. This time though, the main threat is a Level 64 Glaceon, which is backed up by a Level 32 Flareon and a Level 32 Espeon. Once players have beaten all three, Irida will follow through on her promise and give players the Lustrous Globe key item. Using this on Palkia will cause it to transform into its Origin Forme, which causes its stats to change as well as its appearance.

How are Dialga and Palkia's Origin Formes Different?

Though neither Pokemon receives a boost to its 680 base stat total following its transformation, there are some pretty notable changes to the way that their stats are actually distributed. Dialga sacrifices 20 Attack in exchange for an extra 20 Special Defense, while Palkia's Origin Forme trades 20 Attack for an additional 20 Speed. Given that both have higher Special Attack stats than Attack, most will probably see these new forms as a huge upgrade.
