Although Nintendo and Game Freak have improved Pokemon Legends: Arceus with updates since the game's release, there are a handful of issues that persist to this day. One Pokemon Legends: Arceus fan has discovered that the glitches surrounding Irida still cause some obstruction in the Alabaster Icelands.

Irida is the leader of Pearl Clan in Pokemon Legends: Arceus and she's located standing on a mound in the snowy biome of Alabaster Icelands near other trainers and a tent. Outside of interacting with Irida and the others trainers in the area, Pokemon Legends: Arceus players can also catch Ice-type Pokemon like Abomasnow, Mamoswine, or Froslass as they work to fill their Pokedex and Research Tasks. Pokemon fans spotted a problem with Irida's place in the Icelands shortly after the release of Pokemon Legends: Arceus, and based on a clip from Reddit user Bill_4780, these issues continue today.

Bill_4780's Pokemon Legends: Arceus clip begins with the player running circles around Irida which slowly alters the frigid landscape around them. Like in the early days of Pokemon Legends: Arceus, running around Irida causes some visual glitches with a tent in the background which expands increasingly the more Bill_4780 circles Pearl Clan's leader. By the conclusion of Bill_4780's Pokemon Legends: Arceus video, the visual glitch has grown to the point where it blocks out the sun above the player, casting large shadows over the snowy ground around them.

The flat objects that take over most of Bill_4780's screen in Pokemon Legends: Arceus swiftly grow from the size of average trees in the Alabaster Icelands to being larger than the nearby mountains. Protruding from the tent in the background, these objects become much larger than the background building within Bill_4780 running only a few circles around Irida. Because this is a long-standing glitch in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, it's currently unclear when players will be able to run around the important character without having their playing area completely obstructed.

Although it may be unlikely that Pokemon Legends: Arceus players accidentally discover this issue in Hisui's Alabaster Icelands, some unsuspecting players may see questionable clutter in the area because they inadvertently circled Irida themselves. Bill_4780 stated that this visual change continues whether the player is running clockwise or counter-clockwise around Irida. Several Pokemon Legends: Arceus took to Bill_4780's clip to voice their own opinions on what's happening with Irida, with one suggesting that the glitch has more to do with the game's level of background detail being confused by the running around.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus is available now for Nintendo Switch.
