Pokemon Legends: Arceus allows players to explore its open world and track down some of the series' more interesting Pokemon. This style of gameplay has led players of Pokemon Legends: Arceus to run into a number of amusing interactions with all sorts of Pokemon. One of the latest of these saw a player run across a Paras in the midst of a meltdown.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus was released on January 28 of this year and makes some big changes to the core Pokemon formula. Players in the game can encounter Pokemon out in the open as these creatures interact with the world around them. This interesting perspective has resulted in some players catching Pokemon trapped in odd moments.

This clip comes from u/Rizface and it shows this player’s recent interaction with a Paras. Paras in Pokemon Legends: Arceus has become known for its high alert level and aggressiveness, but the Pokemon in this clip doesn’t quite match that reputation. As u/Rizface approaches the Paras in the wild they discover this Pokemon running in circles at full speed. Apparently this Paras got itself stuck like this, forever running around in a really tight loop and u/Rizface approaches this situation cautiously. Once they discover that the Paras is stuck like this they join in on the fun. In the clip the music slowly grows in intensity and just as it peaks u/Rizface matches this Paras as it rotates leading the whole event to look like an unexpected dance party.

Having Pokemon interact with their world in Pokemon Legends: Arceus adds a new layer to the game series but may be the cause of some minor bugs such as this one. While this isn’t normal behavior for this Pokemon, players have reported that under normal circumstances this Pokemon can be quick to be alerted and so this at least makes it easier to catch. Players looking for Paras have to head to either Obsidian Fieldlands, the Cobalt Coastlands, the Coronet Highlands, or the Crimson Mirelands.

Paras is just one of the over 200 Pokemon roaming the world of Pokemon Legends: Arceus but some aren't as satisfied with this number. The total number in this game represents less than half of all the Pokemon so far released in the series and, while many of the more memorable Pokemon are in this game, there are likely some that players wish were there.

Then again, it still takes about 20 hours to complete the storyline of Pokemon Legends: Arceus, giving players quite a bit of content to go through. Either way, this player found an interesting moment with a Paras in the game and absolutely made the most of it.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus is available now on Nintendo Switch.
