According to the latest leaks and rumors, the long-awaited Pokemon Scarlet and Violet update for Pokemon Home is going to launch on Friday, May 19, though fans should take this news with a grain of salt. For the uninitiated, Pokemon Home is an app that allows Pokemon players to store their captured Pokemon on the cloud for safekeeping and to potentially transfer them to other games that have Pokemon Home support.Pokemon fans have been patiently waiting for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet to get Pokemon Home support since the new games launched five months ago. Now an image has appeared online that seemingly confirms the May 19 release date, though some believe the image is fake. Even though many seem to think that Pokemon Home's Scarlet and Violet update will come on May 19 based on this evidence, fans should wait for an official announcement before getting too excited.

Right now, Pokemon Home supports Pokemon Bank, Pokemon GO, Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Pokemon Legends: Arceus, and Pokemon Sword and Shield. Getting Pokemon Home support for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will mean all the main series Pokemon games on the Switch will support the service, so it's no wonder fans are excited to see it implemented.

It's clear many Pokemon fans are growing frustrated with the lack of Pokemon Home support for Scarlet and Violet, so it will be interesting to see if future Pokemon games are quicker about adding Home support. The Generation 10 Pokemon games have yet to be revealed, however, and so fans may be waiting years before they know the answer to that question.

While the Generation 10 Pokemon games haven't been announced just yet, Pokemon fans still have some new content to look forward to later this year. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have substantial DLC expansions on the way that will be adding new Pokemon to the mix, as well as making existing Pokemon available in the new games.
