Pokemon fans like to mix Nintendo's legendary series with other franchises. This has led to great pieces by artists showing their love for both the RPGs and other games, books, and movies. Pokemon crossover art is a great way for gamers to show their love for multiple fandoms through one bit of art.

One series that fans have crossed Pokemon with is Harry Potter. J.K. Rowling's books took the world by storm, leading to a number of films and spin-offs films, becoming a big part of pop culture. Harry Potter is still going strong, especially with a new game called Hogwart's Legacy releasing sometime in 2022, and is a perfect franchise to mix up with Pokemon.

An artist known as Darthdoodles posted a piece that they had drawn combining Pokemon with Harry Potter. Ash Ketchum is in the center of the work sporting a Hogwarts' uniform and wand as Giovanni looms in the background fashioned after the antagonist Voldemort. A Noctowl takes the place of Harry's owl Hedwig while Xerneas stands in the background representing the protagonists' Patronus. The drawing shows a Hogwarts crest at the bottom with Pokemon such as Serperior and Murkrow representing the school's four houses, and features a Pokeball as the Golden Snitch. To finish off the artwork, Ash's Pikachu can be seen wearing the glasses that Harry is known for, all while wielding its own wand. Darthdoodles did an amazing job bringing the two series together, creating a bit of art that can be enjoyed by both fandoms.

Darthdoodles' drawing has garnered a number of fans. The artist mentioned that they could not figure out a name for the piece, leading to many commenters coming up with their own. Ideas include Ash Castem and the Prisoner of Alakazam, Ash Castem and the Pokeball of Fire, and Ashy Pottum. While many are enjoying the work, some stated that the Pokemon Noctowl should be Shiny, as those colors are closer to Hedwig's.

Darthdoodles' Harry Potter mix-up is just one of many pocket monster mashups. A Redditor going by the name honeybeewilde brought together Pokemon with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The artist took the starter Squirtle and changed its color pallette to fit the characters from the comic series and cartoon show. They then put a red bandana on the Pokemon, mirroring the look of Raphael, and turned the artwork into magnets. The magnets are adorable and are a combination of two franchises that make a lot of sense.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will release on November 18 for the Nintendo Switch.
