Although Gen 3 is still in the process of rolling out, the Pokemon GO community is always ready to look ahead and start planning for the next stage of the metagame. Gen 4 is likely close to a full year away, but it's never too early to start planning for which pokemon will be the most important for Battle Raids and holding Gyms when they do arrive.
With that in mind, some of Pokemon GO's min-maxers have already started crunching the numbers on how each member of Gen 4 will stack up against the first three generations when the time comes. We've broken down that data and compiled a list of the most important Gen 4 creatures for each of the different types.
