The first part of Pokemon GO’s Halloween Mischief event is officially underway, and it features a Special Research story for players to complete. This Special Research is dubbed “What Lies Beneath the Mask,” and it centers around Ghost-type Pokemon. For those players that would like to learn more about the What Lies Beneath the Mask Special Research in Pokemon GO, a list of all of its tasks and rewards can be found in this guide.

Before getting into the specifics of this new Special Research story, it is worth noting that it is quite an undertaking. Indeed, players will need to catch 120 Ghost-type Pokemon before everything is said and done, and that is not even the full extent of the task at hand. Fortunately, this is not a Timed Research, which means that fans can continue working on the tasks into part two of PoGO's Halloween Mischief event and beyond.
