Weather Week arrives in Pokemon GO this morning and brings a new series of bonuses, features, and challenges to the mobile AR game for trainers to tackle throughout much of the remainder of March 2021. The event will wrap up with an exciting Legendary Raid Weekend, but first players will be working through some timed research tasks.

The latest Pokemon GO Season of Legends event is jam-packed with bonuses and trainers will have the chance to enjoy some exciting increased spawns while they work through another four-part event research storyline. The chain of quests isn't very long, but does have some nice rewards that should help incentivize players to log in today through March 29 and power through this set of quests before the event wraps up.

The new event-exclusive timed research should appear for players automatically once things kick off on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time. At that point, trainers can start catching, gifting, and taking snapshots to work through the first phase of challenges. There aren't any tasks that require too much skill, though some players may need to take a minute to remember all the ways to earn a heart with their buddy...

Stage 1

Catch 10 Water-, Electric- or Bug-type Pokémon – Rainy Form Castform (s)

Take a snapshot of a Water-type Pokémon – 200 Stardust

Send 3 Gifts to friends – Psyduck (s)

Stage rewards: Wailmer (s), 5 PokéBalls, 500 XP

Stage 2

Catch 15 Water-, Electric- or Bug-type Pokémon: Rainy Form Castform (s)

Power up Pokémon 7 times: 3 Pinap Berry

Defeat 2 Team GO Rocket Grunts: Buizel (s)

Stage rewards: Rainy Form Castform (s), 7 PokéBall, 500 XP

Stage 3

Catch 15 Flying-, Psychic- or Dragon-type Pokémon: Rainy Form Castform (s)

Make 5 Nice Curveball Throws: 600 Stardust

Earn 5 hearts with your buddy: Woobat (s)

Stage rewards: Swellow, 10 PokéBalls, 800 XP

Stage 4

Catch 20 Flying-, Psychic- or Dragon-type Pokémon: Rainy Form Castform (s)

Make 9 Curveball Throws in a row: 1200 Stardust

Evolve 3 Pokémon: Swablu (s)

Stage rewards: Togetic, 12 PokéBalls, 1200 XP

At this point, that should be everything trainers need to know to work through the timed research. Be sure to keep in mind that that Weather Week concludes on Monday, March 29, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time, so players will need to have everything finished before then to earn the final round of rewards, including that Togetic encounter.

Over the next week or so players should continue to learn a lot more about what other events are on the way throughout the Season of Legends. Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
