We are right smack dab in the middle of the Pokemon GO Water Festival event. This event brings new water-type Pokemon to the game, new shiny Pokemon, and plenty of new tasks and field research to complete.

Pokemon GO, the runaway hit mobile augmented reality game, has been ramping up the content and features over the years since launch. The 2019 Water Festival is the latest community event, an annual celebration of everyone's favorite type of Pokemon. It features increased Water-type spawns and egg hatches, and the return of Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf to five-star raids.

More bonuses include double hatch candy, double buddy candy for water types, and the introduction of Crabhammer, a special charge move for Kingler and Crawdaunt. Water-types Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf will also be the stars of the Legendary Hour Raid on Wednesday Aug 28.

We've listed all the Water Festival tasks and their rewards below. The Water Festival field research consists of new catch tasks, hatch tasks, evolve tasks, battle tasks, and some miscellaneous tasks as well. There is a good variety of opportunities for players to encounter rare water Pokemon.
