Water Festival 2022 is currently underway in Pokemon GO and fans of the mobile AR game have until May 20 to enjoy all of the special bonuses, spawns, and activities that come along with the annual event. The Water Festival is one of the most exciting items on the May 2022 Pokemon GO calendar of events and is full of special features for trainers to keep track of.

There will be some Special Research for players to power through during the event, but those aren't the only quests to complete over the next week or so. Pokemon GO players can also find event-themed Field Research by spinning Pokestops in their local areas during the event time frame. The limited time availability Field Research features some exciting rewards, so players will want to keep an eye out for it.

Like most Field Research, these tasks are all fairly simple and not incredibly time consuming to complete. The event spawn bonuses will help make some of the Water-type specific challenges a lot easier than they may look at first. Catch 25 Pokemon is likely the most time consuming task (assuming players can easily find Magikarp or Wailmer), but the reward is going to be worth it for collectors and completionists. Otherwise, most of the tasks are pretty straightforward and can be completed in just an hour or less of gameplay time for most players.
