New York Comic-Con 2018, the biggest comic convention on the East Coast, is officially in full swing. With many attending the weekend event to get all of the details about the fall's biggest comic book, television, and movie announcements, Pokemon GO has decided to offer a reward of its own for those in attendance, with the wildly popular mobile augmented reality game having the Psychic-type Unown appearing in droves during the convention.

Pokemon GO players attending the event who are looking to catch Unown would do well to know that Niantic has chosen to have the creature spawn in the letters "C, O, M, I, N, and Y" throughout New York City in order to spell out the phrase "NYC COMIC CON". What's more is that a special PokeStop has even appeared at the Javitz Center for the duration of New York Comic-Con 2018 this weekend.

 

As it so happens, New York Comic-Con 2018 won't be the only major event where Pokemon GO's Unown will be spawning this weekend, as MAG, a popular anime and anime convention in Erfurt Germany, will be seeing the creature in high numbers–most specifically the versions that spell out "M," "A," "G" and "!". Additionally, the Milan Games Week 2018 event in Italy is getting the "M,""G," and "W" types of Unown.

All things considered, having Unown spawn during each of the aforementioned events is a great way for Niantic to ensure that both casual players and diehard trainers alike remain engaged with the ARG, as the studio is still bringing tons of content to the title. For instance, Pokemon GO recently got a new Pikachu hat variant, and there are currently exciting rewards up for grabs with the game's limited time Psychic event Field Research going on right now.
