It's been an exciting August in the world of Pokemon GO, but the three weeks of Ultra Reward Bonuses are about to come to an end. There are still a few days left to take advantage of the final phase of rewards, but the end date for Unova Week is drawing closer with each hour, so players should make sure they're earning all the Candy they need and make as many attempts for that shiny Genesect as possible.

Thanks to an impressive turnout and display during GO Fest 2020, Pokemon GO trainers managed to unlock all of the Ultra Rewards that were up for grabs. This included Dragon Week and Enigma Week, both of which have already concluded, and finally an Unova-themed week of rewards that is currently underway. There are a lot of exciting spawns and raid bosses available during Unova Week, but the event is preparing to wrap up this Friday afternoon.

Just like both of the previous Ultra Reward bonus weeks, Unova Week was scheduled to run for one full week, from Friday at 1pm PT to Friday at 1pm PT. That means the event is set to conclude in just three days, so players should make a serious effort to take full advantage of these bonuses before they fade away. There are a lot of exciting spawns up for grabs, but the primary goal for many players will likely be to obtain a powerful Genesect and to earn enough candy to evolve each of the Unova starters up to their final forms.

When does Unova Week end?

Unova Week will run from Friday, August 14, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. to Friday, August 21, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7).

What are the Unova Week features and bonuses?

Sewaddle, Cottonee, Emolga, and Bouffalant—all originally discovered in the Unova region—will be appearing in the world of Pokémon GO for the first time!

Bouffalant will be appearing in New York City and the surrounding areas.

Genesect will be in five-star raids, and if you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny one! You might also encounter a Shiny Roggenrola.

In addition to the new Pokedex entries that are up for grabs during the remainder of the event, many collectors and completionists are also trying to hunt down every new shiny that is available this week. Many of the raid bosses have a shiny chance right now, so there are a lot of collectibles up for grabs for trainers who are trying to complete that ever-elusive shiny dex. Although shiny Pokemon don't have any actual gameplay difference in comparison to their regular counterparts, it's a bit of a Pokemon player tradition to obtain shiny variants and show them off to their friends.

Once the new event arrives this weekend, the festivities should give trainers a good reason to continue catching the best Unova Pokemon in the game and getting closer to that complete Pokedex. Check back for more Pokemon GO updates closer to the event. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!

Pokemon GO is available now in select regions on Android and iOS devices.
