Dragon Week is about to end in Pokemon GO with Enigma Week around the corner. For some around the world, Enigma Week has already begun, which has players finding more Pokemon that are connected to space, including the legendary Pokemon, Deoxys.

This event will introduce multiple new shiny Pokemon to Pokemon GO, including the Staryu line, multiple forms of Unown, and Deoxys itself. However, some players might be wondering about the field research tasks as well as the timed research tasks that will become available for this event.

While there are currently no reports on any timed research tasks being made available, players have gotten special field research tasks related to Enigma Week from visiting gyms and Pokestops. It is unknown if the timed research tasks will be made available later or if there just won't be any time research tasks for this event.

Players participating in the Enigma Week event have reported three different event-exclusive field research tasks. They are:

  • Catch 3 Psychic-type Pokemon - 1 Rare Candy
  • Make 3 Curveball Throws - Baltoy Encounter
  • Win a Raid - Staryu Encounter

Out of all these tasks, catching psychic-type Pokemon may be the most worth it for players due to the upcoming Magikarp Community Day on August 8th, 2020. In order to evolve a single Magikarp into Gyarados, 400 Magikarp candies are needed, meaning that any amount of rare candies will help players get closer to evolving Magikarp.

Of course, rare candies can help power up the Pokemon leading Enigma Week and the majority of the raids occurring during it: Deoxys. Due to Deoxys being a legendary Pokemon, getting candy for it may be difficult for some players who don't have Deoxys as a buddy Pokemon. By finding and completing this field research task, players can power up Deoxys faster than usual and use this powerful Pokemon to help in PVP and Raid battles.

Finding psychic-type Pokemon during Enigma Week won't prove to be hard either, as the majority of the Pokemon that have increased spawn rates during this event are psychic-typed. This is additionally true for all raid battles during this event with only Clefairy, Jigglypuff, Staryu, and Togetic being the only non-psychic Pokemon in the raid roster.

Players should certainly take advantage of the field research tasks and the spawn rates to acquire powerful Pokemon for their team. Additionally, players can use remote raid passes to participate in these very lucrative raids as well as invite their friends to help out.

Pokemon GO is available now on the App Store and Google Play.
