Pokemon GO Fest 2021 featured 24 global challenges, and players worldwide worked together to complete every single one of them. As a reward for their efforts, fans will get to enjoy three Ultra Unlock events over the course of the upcoming weeks, and the first one is now officially underway. One of the most-exciting aspects of this first Ultra Unlock event is its Timed Research, and Pokemon GO players can find a list of its tasks and rewards in what follows.
Before diving into the Pokemon GO Ultra Unlock: Time tasks and rewards, it is important to note that this Timed Research will only be available until Tuesday, August 3 at 8pm local time. As such, players should make sure to start working on these tasks sooner rather than later, or they may miss out on some of the rewards. Fortunately, none of the challenges are extremely difficult, and fans that put in a bit of effort should have ample time to complete them all.

- Catch 10 Pokemon (Diglett Encounter)
- Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokemon (Drilbur Encounter)
- Catch 5 different species of Pokemon (5 Nanab Berries)
Rewards: 10 Poke Balls, 483 XP, 3 Ultra Balls
Stage 2
- Catch 5 Voltorb (Magnemite Encounter)
- Transfer 7 Pokemon (7 Ultra Balls)
- Send 3 Gifts to Friends (3 Pinap Berries)
Rewards: 5 Great Balls, 483 XP, 3 Ultra Balls
Stage 3
- Catch 10 Omanyte or Kabuto (Aerodactyl Encounter)
- Power up Pokemon 5 times (3 Max Revives)
- Earn 5 hearts with your buddy (7 Razz Berries)
Rewards: 15 Poke Balls, 483 XP, 3 Ultra Balls
Stage 4
- Catch 7 Porygon (1 Upgrade)
- Evolve a Pokemon (8 Ultra Balls)
- Use 10 Berries to help catch Pokemon (5 Pinap Berries)
Rewards: 10 Great Balls, 483 XP, 3 Ultra Balls
Stage 5
- Catch 15 Rock-type Pokemon (Onix Encounter)
- Win a Raid (Shieldon Encounter)
- Power up Pokemon 7 times (Cranidos Encounter)
Rewards: 30 Poke Balls, 3 Ultra Ball, 2,000 Stardust
Notably, the specific Pokemon that must be caught for the Ultra Unlock: Time Timed Research are all appearing at an increased rate for the duration of the event. Indeed, players will encounter Voltrob, Omanyte, Kabuto, and Porygon more frequently over the next 10 days, and that will make the related tasks, which may appear to be some of the most challenging upon first glance, quite easy to complete.
One final thing to mention is that these Timed Research tasks are not the only new activities for players to engage with during the ongoing event. More specifically, there is a set of PoGO Ultra Unlock: Time Field Research available, giving fans even more opportunities to walk away from the event with some desirable rewards.
