Pokemon GO's Ultra Unlock Space event has officially arrived, and it is has brought a brand new batch of Timed Research along with it. This Timed Research unfolds over the course of five stages, which are comprised of a variety of tasks and rewards. To note, players have until Tuesday, August 17 at 8pm local time to complete all of PoGO's Ultra Unlock Space Timed Research tasks. While this is a fairly long run for a set of Timed Research, fans should not put off the tasks for too long, or else they may end up missing out on some of the rewards found in the later stages.
Pokemon GO Ultra Unlock 2021: Space Timed Research Tasks and Rewards
Stage 1
- Catch 10 Pokemon (Swalot Encounter)
- Make 5 Nice Throws (Clefairy Encounter)
- Transfer 5 Pokemon (7 Nanab Berries)
Stage Rewards: 10 Poke Balls, 484 XP, 5 Ultra Balls
Stage 2
- Catch 10 Pokemon (8 Razz Berries)
- Use 5 Razz Berries to help catch Pokemon (Lunatone Encounter)
- Use 5 Nanab Berries to help catch Pokemon (Solrock Encounter)
Stage Rewards: 10 Pinap Berries, 484 XP, 5 Ultra Balls
Stage 3
- Catch 10 Pokemon (Gastly Encounter)
- Make 5 Great Throws (Duskull Encounter)
- Make 5 Nice Throws in a row (Shuppet Encounter)
Stage Rewards: 15 Poke Balls, 484 XP, 5 Ultra Balls
Stage 4
- Catch 15 Pokemon (6 Pinap Berries)
- Make 7 Great Curveball Throws (Shellos Encounter)
- Make 7 Nice Curveball Throws in a row (Shellos Encounter)
Stage Rewards: 12 Razz Berries, 484 XP, 5 Ultra Balls
Stage 5
- Catch 6 Psychic-type Pokemon (Elgyem Encounter)
- Win a raid (Espurr Encounter)
- Make 2 Excellent Throws (1 Silver Pinap Berry)
Stage Rewards: 20 Poke Balls, 3,000 Stardust, 5 Ultra Balls
Time
As players that peruse this list are sure to notice, many of the tasks in the Ultra Unlock Space Timed Research center around making certain types of Throws. Of all of these Throws, it is the Excellent Throws that are likely to give fans the most trouble, as indeed they require quite a lot of precision. If a player does find that that they are struggling to land Excellent Throws in PoGO, it is recommended that they target Pokemon that are of a large size.
This Timed Research is certainly not the only aspect of the Ultra Unlock Space event that players may wish to engage with, though, as there are increased spawns to enjoy and even some new Shiny Pokemon to catch. One of those new Shinies is Palkia, and players will have a chance to go toe-to-toe with it in five-star raids for the duration of the event.
