Pokemon GO players have been incredibly busy this summer thanks to the release of Friends and Trading features, as well as a ton of special events. To wrap up the exciting summer for the mobile AR game, Niantic is preparing to reveal the Ultra Bonus after the third of the three major live events wraps up.

Assuming Pokemon GO players complete the necessary requirements during this week's Safari Zone in Yokosuka, Japan; players will unlock Moltres Day (this seems like a lock) and subsequently unlock the Ultra Bonus since the first two requirements have already been met.

Although we don't know what that bonus will be just yet, it does seem like we know when it will be announced...

That line of text was screen captured by some players at The Silph Road, just in case Niantic decides to change its mind. There haven't been any official hints about what the reward is going to be, but the trainers have plenty of theories.

One of the most popular theories is that the Ultra Bonus is going to be the release of Gen 4. This would be a pretty big surprise considering the fact that it contradicts recent reports that Gen 4 isn't as close as people expected and the first three rewards were Battle Raid-themed.

Another theory that makes a little more sense considering the first three rewards is a Mewtwo Day. This would give players who haven't received an EX invite the chance to finally fact the Pokemon and, perhaps, complete their Kanto dex.

We'll be sure to post an update as soon as we learn more details. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!

Pokemon GO is available now in select regions on Android and iOS devices.
