Now that the Pokemon GO Ultra Bonus Week 1 bonuses and rewards are behind us, players can start figure out the best way to take advantage of everything that week two has to offer...

If you thought you were done hatching Eggs before Pokemon GO's Ultra Bonus Week 1 is over, think again. Ultra Bonus 2 is hiding some of its most exciting bonuses in Eggs as well, which means players will once again be be concentrating on Gifting, walking distance, and hatching as many Eggs in the game as possible throughout this week.

The second Ultra Bonus Week kicks off on September 9 and runs through September 16. Players should plan to play everyday if they want the best chance of encountering all the exciting rewards.

Kanto Regional Eggs

Pokemon GO Region Exclusive Event in Europe

The gen 1 regionals are back in a very special way. The four Kanto regionals are going to be appearing in 7km Eggs, which means it's time to get busy Gifting and walking.

Even more exciting than that, the Kanto regionals also have the chance to be shiny for the first time. This a huge deal for the completionists out there who are trying to complete their shiny dex. There isn't any word yet on the hatch rate of shiny Pokemon, but we expect them to be fairly rare.

Collecting shiny Pokemon doesn’t give the trainer any kind of advantage in battle, but it is still a fun additional challenge to add into the game. Shiny Pokemon are perfect for leaving in Gyms to show off to the rest of the community.

Egg Hatch Distance Bonus

pokemon go made a ridiculous amount of money last month

To help players hatch as many Eggs as possible this week, Niantic is also cutting Egg distance in half. That means it's a perfect time to use some Super Incubators and hatch every 7km Egg you can get your hands on.

Here is a breakdown of the distance required during the event if you use a regular Incubator versus a Super Incubator...

2 km - 1 km (.62 mi) versus .67 km (.41 mi)

5 km - 2.5 km (1.55 mi) versus 1.67 km (1.04 mi)

7 km - 3.5 km (2.17 mi) versus 2.33 km (1.45 mi)

10 km - 5 km (3.11mi) versus 3.33 km (2.07 mi)

Deoxys Level 5 Raids

pokemon go ex raid pass

Previously EX exclusive Legendary Pokemon Deoxys is back during Ultra Bonus Week 2 and this time it is available through level 5 Raids. That means no invite necessary! All four forms of Deoxys will be hatching (be sure to review our Deoxys PoGO counter guide), which is great news for players who live in regions without many EX eligible gyms.

Be sure to check back for more Pokemon GO news, updates, and strategy guides in the coming days. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!

Pokemon GO is currently available in select regions on Android and iOS devices.
