The gradual rollout for Pokemon GO's Trainer Battles feature began tonight and is progressing much more quickly than many players suspected. Although level 40 players only gained access about an hour ago, players as low as level 20 have now received the feature, as well.

As promised, Pokemon GO released the Battle Trainer feature to max level players first, to test the feature with a smaller audience. The gradual rollout seems to be going very quickly though and within the hour two follow up tweets revealed that both level 30 and level 20 players can now access the feature. This seems lightning fast compared to the last big feature rollout which took a few days to reach the lower levels.

Here's a look at the official announcement from Pokemon GO's Twitter account...

Now that the feature is live, players around the world will be crunching the numbers to crack the PvP meta and put together the best squads of fighters in the mobile game. The three tiers of competition offer a ton of variety and should provide the chance for a number of different Pokemon to shine in PvP battles.

Be sure to check back for more details, guides, and updates as we continue to explore the new features and strategies. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
