Although Pokemon GO might be rendered unplayable for some fans over the course of the next few weeks due to GPS outages, it hasn't stopped the developer Niantic from releasing a brand new trailer to promote the popular mobile augmented reality game. Today, the company dropped the latest trailer for the ARG that features narration from the English comedian, actor, and writer, Stephen Fry, and it even teases new Pokemon coming to the title.

As seen below in the sixty second trailer for Pokemon GO, the footage contains looks at some of the new Pokemon first seen in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire that Niantic has been sporadically adding to the mobile ARG over the last few months. What's more is that the likes of Masquerain can be found in the clip, with many speculating that the Pocket Monster being shown in the trailer is an indication of the Gen 3 creature coming to the game.

For those unaware, Masquerain is a Bug/Flying-Type that has yet to officially be included in Pokemon GO, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it's missed its chance to be added, especially if its appearance in this most recent trailer is any indication of Niantic's intentions to give it a new home in the ARG. After all, plenty of other Pokemon featured in promotional pieces that weren't in PoGO at first–Kyogre being one example–eventually made their way into the game.

Pokemon GO began its rollout of Gen 3 Pocket Monsters back in October 2017 as part of its Halloween event, and then included a huge wave of Pokemon the month thereafter. December 2017 and January 2018 saw Niantic add even more creatures, and it's expected by many that a fifth wave of Pokemon will be released sometime in February, which could include the likes of Masquerain. Naturally, though, with no official confirmation just yet, we will just have to wait and see what Niantic has up its sleeves.

Pokemon GO is available now for Android and iOS devices.
