Pokemon GO's April 2019 Community Day has come and gone, and with this being the case, the video game developer Niantic is ready to prepare players of the wildly successful mobile augmented reality game for the recurring event on the way for May 2019. Niantic has now revealed that the Generation 3 Fire-type Torchic is going to be the featured Pokemon for May 2019's Community Day, which is scheduled to take place globally on May 19, 2019.

Pokemon GO's May 2019 Community Day will occur during a given player's local time of 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and Torchic will appear more frequently in the wild, giving Trainers a better chance at nabbing the Fire-type's Shiny form. As is usually the case for Pokemon GO Community Days, Lure Modules are going to be set to last three hours for the duration of the event, and there will be the bonus of 3× Catch Stardust.

As of now, Pokemon GO developer Niantic hasn't officially divulged what PoGO players should expect for the exclusive move for May 2019's Community Day to be. Nevertheless, some are already speculating what the developer will provide for players by projecting that Blast Burn will potentially become available to those who evolve Combusken - that is, Torchic's second stage of evolution - up to 1 hour after the event.

Of course, with Pokemon GO's May 2019 Community Day still a ways off, there are likely plenty of fans who are looking for more ways to engage with the title right now. Thankfully, Pokemon GO‘s Eggstravaganza 2019 event is now live, challenging players to hatch as many eggs as possible. Similar to other PoGO events, Eggstravaganza 2019 includes its own set of Field Research quests and rewards. Plus, as many expected, the Eggstravaganza quests all revolve around hatching eggs.

All things considered, it's safe to presume that many Pokemon GO players are primed and ready to dive into May 2019's Community Day, but of course, they're going to have to wait until next month rolls around. Until then, there's the aforementioned Eggstravaganza 2019 event to keep them busy, as well as Pokemon GO's Snapshot Challenge photo contest.

Pokemon GO is available for Android and iOS devices.
