Pokémon Go has been an interesting journey for millions of gamers. Just when it looks like it’s about to fiddle out, the mobile game makes an impressive resurgence back onto the scene, fueled by a dedicated fan base looking to fulfill their dreams of being true Pokémon trainers. Some are more dedicated than others, however, including one Taiwanese man who rigged his bike to play with 11 different phones at once.

The man in question is Chan San-yuan, affectionately referred to as "Uncle Pokemon" by members of the community close to him. With his rig, Chan is able to play Pokemon GO for more than 20 hours straight, using a healthy amount of battery packs stored in his bike's front basket to keep each device running. While 11 devices may seem to be a crazy amount, Chan still plans to add an additional 4 devices to his setup in the future.

Chan's dedication to Pokémon Go may be a major contributing factor to how the app still manages to rake in so much money every day, as he currently invests a little more $1,29o into the game every month. While the cost of being the very best might be a little steep to some, it appears it's worth it for Chan, who says the game has helped him make new friends and fend off Alzheimer's disease.

Chan is just one of many people who have taken their play to the next level. Since the launch of the game 2 years ago, tons of crazy stories have surfaced about players quitting their jobs to play more, or finding dead bodies while searching for Pokémon.  While these types of stories are just a tad bit crazy, it makes sense that Pokémon Go is the game to attract obsessed players and absurd stories. It allows would-be trainers the unique opportunity to fulfill a lifelong dream of being a Pokémon trainer. It also helps that developer Niantic regularly updates the game with new content and timed events, which keeps players hooked.

With such a dedicated fan base, it's unlikely Pokémon Go will be going anywhere anytime soon. It's safe to expect that more stories like Chan's will surface overtime until someone is finally declared Pokémon Grand Champion. However, that may require PVP to be introduced first, though Niantic has finally teased the addition of the much-requested feature.

Pokémon Go is available now on IOS and Android devices.
