Pokemon GO is back with another event and this time the game's most precious resource is up for grabs in huge quantities. Players who recently picked up an Altered Forme Giratina or are adding another Shadow Ball Mewtwo to their roster are going to need a stockpile of Stardust to help power up those new heavy hitters for battle. That's where the latest event comes into play.

The Pokemon GO Stardust Blast Event gives players some extra motivation to get out and do some battling, catching, and hatching during the next week. The ongoing bonuses run through October 10 and give players a chance to earn a ton of Stardust, which can be used for powering up Pokemon, evolving Pokemon, and trading. Although Rare Candy and TMs are a close second and third, Stardust is what most players consider the most important and valuable resource in the mobile AR game.

There have been similar Stardust-themed events in the past, but the inclusion of some Team Rocket bad guys and girls make this event a little different. The full event details, follow, but don't forget to stock up on Star Pieces and put them to good use whenever you head out to grind Stardust this coming week!
