Following this month’s Pokemon GO Fest event in Chicago, Illinois that will unlock a mystery challenge for players in attendance, Niantic is set to continue providing live gatherings for fans of the augmented reality mobile title around the globe by hosting a stadium event for the Pikachu Outbreak Festival in Naka Ward, Yokohama, Japan next month, on August 14, 2017. While some of the live celebrations for the game will take place over the course of multiple days, the upcoming stadium event in Japan is set to be a one-day-only affair.

As of now, details regarding the activities at the Pokemon GO stadium event in Japan are relatively scant, so there’s no telling exactly what will occur during the festivities. However, considering the fact that only Level 5 players and higher will be able to participate in the event points to the possibility of there being raids taking place for those in attendance.

Since Niantic is expecting for there to be a high turnout for the forthcoming Pikachu Outbreak Festival, Pokemon GO is holding a raffle in advance in order to determine which players will be able to participate in the Japanese event. Those who are interested in taking part in the stadium event in Yokohama can register for the chance to be chosen at the Pikachu Outbreak Festival’s webpage, and those selected for the event will be given a specific time slot for when they can enter this challenge.

Beyond the upcoming Pokemon GO stadium event in Japan and the aforementioned festival happening in Chicago, Niantic also plans on hosting a handful of Safari Events in Europe that will unlock region-specific Pokemon for players to catch and collect. Taking into account the fact that the developer continues to provide ample support for the game through numerous updates and these live events, it’s safe to presume that it will be able to share even more impressive user stats for Pokemon GO in the coming months.

Pokemon GO is available now for Android and iOS.
