Pokemon GO players are still adjusting to the new rotation of Battle Raid bosses and mastering their strategies for taking down the challenges as effortlessly as possible. Most serious players like to solo Battle Raids that are below level 4, so coming up with the right team for those fights is very important. One of the new bosses, Omastar, requires some powerful Grass-types to bring him down without help from friends.

Players were disappointed by a few of the new Pokemon GO Battle Raid bosses, but Omastar is a bit of a crowdpleaser. The creature has been fairly rare in most regions so far, so getting the chance to catch him in a Battle Raid is a great opportunity for many players. To achieve this goal without the help of other players, trainers need to take advantage of Omastar's double weakness against Grass-types.

When heading into this battle, we highly recommend using an army of exeggutor, victreebel, and venusaur. High IV versions of those three should be the foundation of any solo team going up against Omastar. If trainers run out of Grass-types before the fight ends, there are some other weaknesses they can switch to.

Omastar has regular weaknesses against Ground-, Electric-, and Fighting-types. That means that a backup crew of Machamp, Raikou, and Zapdos should be at the ready to step in once the Grass-types have been wiped out.

This is definitely one of the tougher level 3 fights to solo, but players with the right team should be able to pull it off. Good luck out there, trainers!
