With Johto Festival Week in Pokemon GO, players see an increased spawn in second-generation Pokemon. Although there only a few days left to capitalize on this event, there is another bonus for those participating, as Ho-Oh has once again returned to the mobile ARG. However, it is set to leave the day before the event ends, so there's an even smaller window to work on getting this legendary Pokemon.

Not only is Ho-Oh meta-relevant, but Pokemon GO players now have another chance to obtain its shiny form. Having a legendary as viable as Ho-Oh in a raid roster or the bragging rights alone for having a shiny Ho-Oh means that many players may want to capitalize on this legendary's short return. Whatever the reason players have to pursue this legendary, they only have until Aug 27 to do so. Check out the official announcement below:

Between the increased spawns of Johto week, the introduction of Celebi's special research quest, and Ho-Oh's reintroduction into raid battles, it's been an eventful period for players of the mobile ARG. There's a lot to be working on, as next month also sees Entei join the field research breakthrough reward. Of course, this means diehard fans of the title are looking at investing several hours into the completion of these events.

While the addition to Ho-Oh to the raid roster makes a lot of sense for this event, it's not the only gen 2 Pokemon to come to raids. Yanma and Sunken both join the raid roster as Tier 1 boss, Pineco as a Tier 2, and Ursaring in Tier 4. Of course, the gen 4 Regirock remains a Tier 5 raid boss and is now joined by Ho-Oh. With the limited time Ho-Oh has to appear, players may want to gather a raiding party together quickly. Even if players miss out on a shiny, raiding Ho-Ohs may very well be an entertaining way to end Johto Week. As more Pokemon GO news develops, be sure to check back here for the new info. Until then, trainers, good luck with Johto Festival Week!
