September arrives in less than a week and with it comes a brand new Pokemon GO season. Not only does that mean some exciting new Field Research and events are on the horizon, but it also means there will be some new and different Battle Raid bosses to face off against in the coming weeks. Players will want to get their counter rosters and Raid Passes ready, because there are some exciting bosses coming up.

Now that the September 2021 calendar of events is now, players can review all of the currently announced Legendary and Mega Raid bosses that are coming to the mobile AR game in the next month. There aren’t any major debuts to follow up the Pokemon GO release of the Shield and Sword legendaries, but there will be a chance to earn some brand new shiny Pokemon, which is sure to bring some collectors out to play.

Lugia has been around and in and out of the raid rotation for years now, but this time the Legendary is back with the Aeroblast attack. That could have some interesting impacts on the metagame, so don’t be surprised if the old boss draws a bigger crowd than usual. Beyond that, Uxie (Asia-Pacific), Mesprit (Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India), or Azelf (the Americas and Greenland) are likely going to get a lot of attention thanks to the fact that there is a chance they will be shiny.
