Season 9 of Pokemon GO has finally been revealed and trainers are in for some excitement as the Season of Mythical Wishes kicks off. The new season was revealed via teaser trailer earlier today, but now a lot of details about the exact events, bonuses, and features are being revealed.

The mobile AR game has some exciting upcoming events with season-specific mechanics and the seasonal spawns are also offering some interesting Pokemon to chase down. For those who are unfamiliar, Pokemon GO increases spawns for select Pokemon each season and each month by biome. That means that players in cities may more likely to run into some Pokemon compared to players in areas that the game recognizes as Forests or Mountains where other Pokemon spawns may be increased. There are also some special Northern and Southern Hemisphere spawns to take into account for each seasonal rotation.

Players who are unsure where each biome is located in their local region should do some exploring of their own or connect with a local PoGO group to help identify high density spawn spots. Obviously not everyone will live close to every type of biome, but it's not uncommon to live within a playable distance of a handful of different zone types that help for grinding catches and Candy.

Players can make their play time a bit more efficient by understanding where those lines and spawn spots are in their own area. Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!

Pokemon GO is available now in select regions on mobile devices.
