One of the recurring questions throughout the lifespan of Pokemon GO has always been "When will the next batch of new Pokemon be released?" With each new generation players are able to add new Pokedex entries, save up Candy for new evolutions, and adjust their battle rosters to use the new Pokemon who have been added to their collection. Finding a new Pokemon is always one of the most exciting pieces of the Pokemon franchise and when the Season of Celebration kicks off on December 1, yet another generation of Pokemon are going to be appearing in the wild in the mobile AR game.

The Kalos region, originally explored in Pokemon X and Y, brings a  bundle of fan-favorite Pokemon into the Pokedex. The franchise's sixth generation features the Grass-type Chespin, the Fire-type Fennekin, and the Water-type Froakie as starters and all of those Pokemon, their evolutions, and more will be coming to Pokemon GO thanks to the GO Beyond update and the start of the Season of Celebration this winter.

The Season of Celebration kicks off on December 1 and during a recent press event with Niantic, Game Rant learned that the kickoff of the event is going to include the introduction of up to fifteen or twenty Kalos region Pokemon into the mobile AR game. Niantic also hinted that the Season of Celebration will feature a bit of a countdown that highlights each released generation in Pokemon GO during a countdown to the mysterious second season which will be revealed in 2021 and likely begins on February 1 or 2. Currently, Niantic has not confirmed every Kalos region Pokemon that will be featured during the Season of Celebration launch, but the following Pokemon were confirmed either verbally or through key art...
