Pokemon GO becomes the biggest mobile game in U.S. history and shows no signs of slowing down as it continues to surpass the user base of multiple services.

Since its launch, some Pokemon GO players have been touting the popularity of the new augmented reality game, but now it looks like they might have some data to back up that claim now. While Pokemon GO soared to the top of the iOS App Store on its launch day and has proved to be more popular than apps like Tinder, the popularity of Pokemon GO continues to break records, as new data shows that the augmented reality game has become the most popular mobile game in U.S. history.

With 21 million daily active users, Pokemon GO has dethroned the previous king of mobile games, Candy Crush (which still holds 20 million daily active users). This data does not include all countries, as Pokemon GO continues to roll out to more and more of the world as days go by. While on the topic of daily users worldwide, at its peak, Candy Crush put up numbers of 93 million users.

Not only does Pokemon GO currently have the highest number daily players, but it has also risen the revenue charts of the App Store, reportedly already bringing in more than $14 million in profit.

According the the data collected by SurveyMonkey Intelligence, Pokemon GO already passed the user base of popular social media sites Instagram and Twitter. If the growth continues, the game will have more users than Snapchat and even Google Maps on Android devices.

Speaking of Google Maps, Pokemon GO could soon become the biggest user of Google Alphabet's mapping data, even more than Google Maps.

It's no surprise how many people are playing the game, that major movie studios have reignited the fight over rights for a film adaptation of the Pokemon franchise. There are also rumors that Pokemon GO could be partnering with other companies to created "sponsored locations," including McDonald's. And there's no shortage of stories from the many users who continue to play the game of finding themselves in unique situations as they hunt down the virtual Pokemon.
