The Extraordinary Raid Week is now live in Pokemon GO, giving players the chance to battle rare Pokemon in raids from now until May 28 at 1pm PT. While the focus of this latest Pokemon GO event is definitely on raid battles, it also has its own limited-time Field Research tasks and rewards for players to take advantage of as well.

With the Extraordinary Raid Week event live, we no longer have to guess as to what the event's Field Research tasks and rewards entail. We now know that there are three different Extraordinary Raid Week Field Research tasks, but four rewards that players can earn from the tasks.

Here are all the Extraordinary Raid Week Field Research tasks and rewards in Pokemon GO.

  • Win A Raid - Bronzor
  • Win 3 Raids - Absol or Fast TM
  • Win 5 Raids - Charged TM

As far as special event Field Research goes, the Extraordinary Raid Week Field Research tasks and rewards are actually quite appealing. It will give players the chance to catch more Bronzors than they would be able to otherwise, which in turn increases their chances of getting a shiny Bronzor. The Extraordinary Raid Week Field Research tasks and rewards also make it easier for players who live in rural areas or who struggle to put together a raid group to add Absol to their Pokemon GO collection.

While Absol is not as hard to beat with a low number of players as a legendary Pokemon, Absol is still a tier-4 raid boss and for most Pokemon GO players, impossible to beat without a solid group. By giving Absol away as an Extraordinary Raid Week Field Research reward, it will help more Pokemon GO players complete their Pokedex.

Plus, there is a chance to get a shiny Absol from the Field Research rewards, so there's that to look forward to as well. As long as Pokemon GO players make sure to participate in as many raids as possible during the Extraordinary Raid Week event, they should have a decent shot at not only expanding their Pokemon collection in Pokemon GO, but also their shiny collection.
