It seems that popular mobile game Pokemon GO has been making a few secretive changes behind the scenes, something fans appear to be strongly in favor of this time around. According to posts on dedicated fan subreddit TheSilphRoad, the bonuses players are receiving from performing raids have now been buffed, with additional Golden Razzberrys and TMs being granted to successful trainers.

Earlier this year, Pokemon GO players discovered that raid rewards were distributed in bundles of items that directly correspond to the raid's level. For completing a level four raid trainers might be granted two Rare Candies, whereas those who beat a level five might be given three Rare Candies instead.

These bundles are dished out based on how well a player performs in any given raid, which is also tracked by the amount of Premier Balls the trainer is given at the end of the fight. Lately, the rewards given out appear to have increased slightly, as players are seeing more Technical Machine generation as well as multiple bundles of Golden Razzberries dropping per raid.

Some bundle sizes have also increased and it is now possible to get four Golden Razzberries in a bundle rather than three or six Revives as opposed to the usual five. Nobody is exactly sure why the buffs have been made with Niantic remaining quiet on the subject, but added rewards for defeating some of the game's newest legendary Pokemon are always appreciated.

Just a couple of days ago, Niantic responded to fan concerns by announcing that new improvements to Pokemon GO will be unveiled next week but these buffs could be the developer's way of keeping the fan-base happy in the meantime. It's not a huge change, but those who regularly raid will surely notice the benefits of getting a few bonus rewards for their efforts.

The raid buffs are a good start, but Niantic is going to have to reveal some impressive new features for Pokemon GO in order to stop fans worrying about the developer's upcoming Harry Potter mobile game affecting the team's dedication to the AR title.

Pokemon GO is out now for Android and iOS devices.
