Like many popular mobile games, Pokemon GO offers a number of special promo codes that provide items to those who use them. These aren't usually advertised in-game, making it important for players to search for them on their own if they want to redeem them.
Unlike some periods of time earlier this year, Pokemon GO does have active promo codes for December 2021. Players that haven't redeemed them are recommended to do so as soon as possible, as they are technically limited and may expire at any time. Once they expire, the codes can never be used again.
Each code can only be used once per Pokemon GO account. Cosmetic items are not exclusive to any trainer avatar gender, allowing all players to enjoy any clothing earned from code entries.

It is unknown when more promo codes will be released for players and what rewards they will offer for redeeming them. The majority of codes usually give out trainer avatar cosmetic items for players, while only a few give items actually helpful for gameplay. Still, players are recommended to keep their eyes out for any new codes that pop up.
While the Ed Sheeran promo code was only released relatively recently, it is now technically expired. Players with the code who haven't redeemed it yet will not be able to get the Ed Sheeran hoodie for their trainer avatar.
How to Enter Pokemon GO Promo Codes
There is no real in-game requirement to input promo codes, but the way to enter them may not be obvious for newer players.
Players must first open up the in-game store within Pokemon GO. They then must scroll to the bottom of the store's menu until reaching a text entry box. This is where promo codes can be entered and redeemed. The codes can either be typed in by hand or directly copy and pasted into the text box. If done correctly, players will get a series of item bubbles containing the reward items they redeemed with their code.
The code redemption menu can be used as many times per day as players want as long as they have enough active codes. Expired codes will have no effect and give no reward for entering them.
