Pokemon GO players who use an iPhone and the GO Plus device have been struggling with a very annoying problem recently. Hopes were high that Niantic would work out the bug, but the final release of iOS 11 is available now and GO Plus users are still suffering.

The problem withe the GO Plus on iOS 11 is that the device buzzes three to five times before registering that the user pressed the button. This may sound like a minor inconvenience, but it seriously slows down players are trying to load up on items or catch a lot of Pokemon without reducing their usual pace of walking, hiking, or jogging.

When functioning properly, the GO Plus stops vibrating and registers the spin or catch attempt as soon as the user presses the device's button. Players who have been using the tool since it released shortly after the game's launch can't help but notice the difference on iOS 11.

There was a lot of speculation that a fix would be in place by the time iOS 11 had its final release, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Hopefully Niantic is still working on the issue, because some segments of the player base seem very upset about the inconvenience.

Like many massively multiplayer online games, Pokemon GO is unlikely to ever be bug-free. Gamers will always be spotting problems with the app and Niantic will need to continue releasing frequent patches and updates as long as the company wants the AR experience to remain competitive. Lots of bug fixes have been arriving in recent weeks, so hopefully a resolution to this issue is also right around the corner.

Check back for updates to find out how Niantic responds to the complaints about the Go Plus and iOS 11 devices.
