Pokemon GO continues to receive support from Niantic, with the company running special events like the recent Halloween event as well as adding new features and Pokemon to the game. Even so, the addition of new content has been rather slow, and this combined with other issues has left many dedicated Pokemon GO players feeling "very discouraged" by the game.

Reddit user PokeMasterSeif made a post on Reddit expressing his discouragement with the game, specifically about how the EX Raid system is negatively impacting his experience. According to PokeMasterSeif, it's much easier to catch a Mewtwo through an EX Raid if you're a "spoofer," as opposed to someone that is playing the game as it is meant to be played.

PokeMasterSeif's post has since received nearly 400 comments at the time of this writing, consisting of many individuals echoing his concerns. One user claimed that they are "barely opening the app" anymore to get their daily bonuses for spinning PokeStop wheels and catching Pokemon. Others expressed disappointment that the "adventure" aspect the game once had seems to be gone.

Another user, razor_hax0r, posted a list of issues he has with the game, which range from Niantic's neglect of rural players to an unrewarding egg hatching pool. He also claimed that he is getting almost entirely 5km eggs from PokeStops instead of 2km and 10km eggs, with other players in the Reddit post revealing similar experiences. This has led some players to question if Niantic has tweaked the way eggs are distributed in the game without making any announcement to fans.

It's clear by this thread that the Pokemon GO community is not pleased with the current state of the game, and are anxious for more content to be added soon. Luckily for Pokemon GO fans that want more to do in the game, there is some evidence that major updates are on the way. Reports indicate that some prominent community members are being flown out to Japan this coming week to test new features for the game, and we know that more third generation Pokemon are being added in December.

Perhaps if Niantic finally adds long-requested features like Pokemon trading and PvP battling, or hosts Safari Zone events in other regions, it could very well return Pokemon GO to its glory days. But even with some major content updates in store for Pokemon GO, it remains to be seen if they will be enough to bring back lapsed players.

Pokemon GO is available now for iOS and Android mobile devices.
