Pokemon GO is still going strong with events and updates in September, and even more coming in October. As usual with time passing by, new Legendary Pokemon will be taking over as raid bosses soon for a limited time.

For trainers who haven't gotten the chance to catch the Pokemon before in Pokemon GO, these upcoming raid times can help these trainers complete their Pokedex. These Pokemon additionally are known for being quite helpful in competitive scenarios, both against Team GO Rocket and against other raids.

While three of the legendary raid bosses have been announced for October, there is said to be a secret fourth boss as well that hasn't been revealed as of yet. Since this boss is meant to celebrate Halloween during Pokemon GO's Halloween event, it is very likely that this Pokemon will be alegendary dark-type Pokemon like Darkrai or a mega-evolved ghost-type Pokemon like Gengar.

Throughout the month of October, each week will have its own special legendary raid boss. These bosses are:

  • Zapdos - September 25th, 2020 - October 2nd, 2020
  • Moltres - October 2nd, 2020 - October 9th, 2020
  • Giratina (Origin Form) - October 9th, 2020 - October 23rd, 2020

In addition to these Pokemon, the aforementioned secret raid boss will be the raid boss of the last week of October. There will also be a Raid Hour event every Wednesday at 6:00 pm in players' local times where it will be easier to find the week's raid bosses. As these are all 5-Star raids, these raids will prove to be difficult and are recommended to not be challenged alone, making a remote raid pass useful.

Zapdos is a legendary flying and electric-type Pokemon. It is weak to ice and rock-type moves while resisting bug, fighting, flying, grass, ground, and steel-type moves. The best moveset it can have for maximum overall DPS is Thundershock and Drill Peck.

Moltres is also a legendary Pokemon, with both fire and flying-typing. It is weak to electric, rock, and water type moves while resisting bug, grass, fairy, fighting, fire, ground, and steel-type moves. The best moveset that trainers can teach a Moltres is Fire Spin and Sky Attack.

Giratina in its Origin Form is a dual Ghost and Dragon-type legendary Pokemon. It is weak to dark, dragon, fairy, ghost, and ice-type moves. Giratina resists fighting, normal, bug, electric, fire, grass, poison, and water-type moves. Its best possible moveset for the most amount of base damage per second is Dragon Tail and Shadow Ball.
