Pokemon GO may be in the middle of its Halloween celebrations, but Niantic is already thinking ahead to next month. A recent post on the official Pokemon GO website announced the identity of the November 2021 Community Day Pokemon--and the guaranteed Charge Attack that its final evolution will know if evolved within two hours.

Each Community Day features a specific Pokemon, generally a low-level Pokemon in its base evolution, that will have its encounter rates massively boosted during a specific time period. In October that Pokemon was Duskull, the Requiem Pokemon, but in November it will be Shinx, the Flash Pokemon.

Shinx was introduced in Sinnoh as part of Gen 4, where it was a relatively common electric-type Pokemon that can be found on Routes 202, 203, and 204 as well as Fuego Ironworks. In November 2021, Pokemon GO players will be able to encounter Shinx in large numbers on Sunday, November 21 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM local time. Players who evolve Shinx's first evolution Luxio into its third evolution Luxray during the event or in the two hours afterward will receive a Luxray that knows the Charged Attack Psychic Fangs. Psychic Fangs is being introduced to the game as part of this event, and it will allow Luxray to lower the Defense of opposing Pokemon while being super effective on Fighting and Poison-type Pokemon.

In trainer battles, Psychic Fangs will cost 40 Power and be guaranteed to lower the opposing Pokemon’s Defense, while in Gyms and raids it will cost 30 Power and not be guaranteed to have an extra effect. Lucky players participating in the November 2021 Community Day may even be able to encounter shiny Shinx, which features bright gold fur on its front half where the default Shinx design has light blue fur. This coloration will carry over to Luxio and Luxray.

For $1.00 USD or the equivalent pricing tier in local currency, players will be able to access the Shinx Community Day-exclusive Special Research story, Flash, Spark, and Gleam. Fans will be informed when tickets for this Special Research story become available. In the meantime, Pokemon GO players can occupy themselves with some of the October-exclusive events that are currently live. This includes Pokemon GO's Halloween Mischief Part 2 Field Research Tasks, which offer to reward dedicated players with a wide variety of adorably creepy Ghost-type, Bug-type, and Halloween costume-sporting Pokemon.

Pokemon GO is available now for Android and iOS devices.
