Pokemon GO's Bug Out event is live, and it brings with it a new lineup of raid bosses. One of the most interesting Bug Out raid bosses is Ninjask, a relatively rare bug-type Pokemon that appears in tier-4 raids. When it comes to tier-4 raids, high level Pokemon GO players usually need at least one or two other people if they hope to win, but as it turns out, it's possible to defeat Ninjask solo with the right team and moves.

The best chance Pokemon GO players will have at defeating Ninjask solo in raids is if their Pokemon are weather-boosted. However, it's still possible to beat a Ninjask raid solo with no weather boost if players have powered-up the right Pokemon. The absolute best Pokemon for the job is Rampardos with Smack Down and Rock Slide, so ideally a Pokemon GO player who wants to beat a Ninjask raid solo will have a full team of properly-equipped Rampardos.

However, Rampardos was added to Pokemon GO fairly recently, and so it's unlikely that many Pokemon GO players will have a full, powered-up team of Rampardos available. Luckily there are some other Pokemon that serve as great counters for Ninjask who will go a long way in helping Pokemon GO players beat the Ninjask raid solo.

Best Ninjask Raid Counters

  • Rampardos - Smack Down/Rock Slide
  • Tyranitar - Smack Down/Stone Edge
  • Rhyperior - Smack Down/Stone Edge
  • Omastar - Rock Throw/Rock Slide
  • Golem - Rock Throw/Stone Edge
  • Rayquaza - Air Slash/Ancient Power
  • Regirock - Rock Throw/Stone Edge
  • Heatran - Fire Spin/Stone Edge
  • Moltres - Fire Spin/Sky Attack

If Pokemon GO players are having a hard time putting together a team of the above Pokemon, then there are some other choices that, while not quite as effective, can still help them beat the Ninjask raid solo.

Decent Ninjask Raid Counters

  • Sudowoodo - Rock Throw/Rock Slide
  • Melmetal - Thunder Shock/Rock Slide
  • Electivire - Thunder Shock/Wild Charge
  • Mamoswine - Powder Snow/Ancient Power
  • Entei - Fire Spin/Overheat

Using a combination of the above Pokemon, Pokemon GO players that are high enough level should be able to solo Ninjask raids and add the rare bug-type Pokemon to their collection. Ninjask is likely to leave Pokemon GO raids once the Bug Out event is over, though, so anyone interested should act fast.
