Like previous updates for the game, the latest update for Pokemon GO has been datamined, giving fans plenty of hints as to what's coming to it in the future. And if dataminers are correct, the future of Pokemon GO will include new multi-step quests that should give players more to do in the popular mobile game.

As discovered by dataminers, there are files in the latest Pokemon GO update that suggest quests will be expanded from the two currently available to a total of 10. It seems as though will soon receive more rewards for hatching eggs, walking their buddy Pokemon, feeding Pokemon in gyms, winning gym battles, completing raid battles, and leveling up.

Along with these basic quests, it looks like multi-step quests will also be coming to Pokemon GO. Based on what the dataminers found, it seems like these multi-step quests will ask players to interact with NPCs, and try to make them happy. The only character that dataminers can determine will be a part of this new quest system so far is Professor Willow, who is already a big part of the Pokemon GO experience.

If this new quest system comes to fruition, then it could give players a lot more to do in Pokemon GO than simply just catching Pokemon and participating in gym battles. However, dataminers discovered a lot more in the latest update's files. According to their findings, future updates for Pokemon GO will feature plenty quality of life changes, including an overhauled news section, the ability to search specifically by shiny Pokemon in the Pokedex, and more.

One more change that dataminers have uncovered is the ability to check if Pokemon GO is supported on any given player's mobile device. This feature is relevant now that Pokemon GO support is ending for some iOS devices, and should let Pokemon trainers know if they need to upgrade to keep playing.

Pokemon GO is available now for iOS and Android mobile devices.
