Pokemon GO fans are in the middle of a very exciting August of events, bonuses, and special rewards. Although the three weeks of Ultra Reward Events are about to come to an end, that doesn't mean Niantic is going to let trainers rest for the remaining weeks of August. Some new features and items are on the way that should keep everyone busy until September arrives.

Although most of the excitement in the world of PoGO was stolen by a very informative datamine yesterday, there was also an official announcement about some new items coming to the game's shop in the near future. The popular Sticker feature that launched a few months back has been very well-received and players are about to get a handful of new options when it comes to customizing the Gifts they send to their friends in Pokemon GO.

At this point, Niantic did not specify exactly when the new Stickers would be arriving or how many would be in the store at. time.  That said, there was an exciting teaser image that featured some cool new stickers featuring a handful of Pokemon who have not been featured on Stickers yet.

"Ever feel like you need a wider variety of Gift stickers to express the sheer depths of the emotions you have for your friends? Well, worry no longer—new Gift stickers are coming! We’re excited to announce that you will soon be able to get more Gift stickers in the shop. Be sure to follow us on social media, opt in to receiving push notifications, and subscribe to our emails to stay updated on when the new Gift stickers become available."

Most of the existing stickers in the game feature Gen 1 Pokemon (especially the original starters and Pikachu), so it's pretty exciting to see teasers for some other fan-favorite Pokemon from other games in the franchise. Although some stickers are obtainable by opening Gifts in the game, the press release makes it sound like these particular new stickers may be exclusive to the game's shop. Stickers are pretty inexpensive in terms of PokeCoins, so players who want to decorate their upcoming Gifts with some new art should start saving up coins now.

Once the new event arrives this weekend, the festivities should give trainers a good reason to continue catching the best Unova Pokemon in the game and getting closer to that complete Pokedex. Check back for more Pokemon GO updates closer to the event. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!

Pokemon GO is available now in select regions on Android and iOS devices.
