New avatar items have been added to Pokemon GO that allow players to dress up as classic Pokemon trainers.

Anyone who has played the main Pokemon series knows that being challenged by random trainers is a core part of the game. Since almost everyone is a trainer in the world of Pokemon, they are typically just normal, everyday people, and are even named as such. With the new avatar items added to Pokemon GO, players can style themselves after three of them: Battle Girl, Jogger, or Fisherman.

These recent additions were announced through the game's official Twitter, where it featured a preview of the complete costumes, as well as how to obtain them. Players who want to spice up their wardrobes can purchase these cosmetic items after they have earned their respective tier 3 medals.

For Battle Girl, players will need to win 1,000 Gym Battles. Those going for the Jogger costume will need to have walked at least 1,000 km. If the Fisherman look is more your style, then you'll need to catch 300 "big" Magikarp. Once the correct medal is obtained, the item will unlock and will be available to purchase for PokeCoins.

Players who haven't played Pokemon GO in a while might have received an email enticing them back. Developer Niantic is offering rewards for returning to the game, which can be redeemed using a special code included with the email. The code is good for three Egg Incubators and one Lucky Egg, but players have only three days to redeem the code before it expires.

In another effort to bring back players, and attract new ones, Niantic recently released a brand new Pokemon GO trailer. The sixty second trailer showcases many of the new Pokemon added to the game, many of which are from Generation 3. The trailer also teases Pokemon not yet available, such as Masquerain. Players can safely assume this means it will find its way into the game soon.

Pokemon GO is available now for Android and iOS devices.
