While there are still multiple Pokemon missing from previous generations in Pokemon GO, some of them are soon to be properly implemented. Two of these Pokemon are Munna and Musharna, both originally from the Unova region.

Munna and Musharna will officially be made available in Pokemon GO starting on February 14, 2021. Their appearances will coincide with the game's Valentine's Day event with Munna being among the Pokemon having increased spawn rates for the event.

The implementation of these two Pokemon could mean good things for the other Unova Pokemon still not added into Pokemon GO, as well as the other unimplemented Pokemon. However, the exact statuses of those Pokemon, as well as the rest of the Kalos Pokemon, is unknown.

Pokemon Musharna

Both Munna and Musharna are pure Psychic-type Pokemon. This means that the two are weak to Bug, Dark, and Ghost-type moves. The two also resist damage from both Fighting and Psychic-type moves.

As mentioned before, players can catch Munna starting with the 2021 Valentine's Day event in Pokemon GO. There is will have increased spawn rates so players will be able to possibly find it rather commonly in the wild. The event also provides players a few other ways of getting this new Pokemon.

Like with many other events, the 5km egg pools with be changing for the Valentine's Day one. Among the Pokemon that can hatch from these eggs is Munna. However, there are seven other possibilities, making eggs an unreliable way to find one.

Raids will also provide players with a method for catching Munna. This is due to Munna being one of the one-star raid bosses, allowing for a majority of players to easily challenge the raid alone and get a good opportunity to catch it.

After players catch a Munna, they will be able to evolve it into Musharna if they have the right materials. These would be 50 Munna candies and an Unova stone. The Valentine's Day event will be the best time to build up Munna candies due to Munna's increased spawn rates. Players can get Unova stones from various research tasks, but they aren't a likely prize.

Unlike Munna, Musharna does not have any kind of increased spawn rates that players can take advantage of. It additionally will not be appearing as any level of raid boss in the known future, meaning that players who want one will need to evolve a Munna.

Pokemon GO is available now on the App Store and Google Play.
