The world of Pokemon GO has a lot going on this month. March is full of big updates, events, and changes for the mobile AR game. In addition to the recently announced Shadow Bonus that totally changes how Shadow Pokemon will be used in the game, players also have a month full of opportunities to catch different Legendary Pokemon.

Although tier 5 Battle Raids are focused on Thundurus for at least the first few weeks of March, every weekend is going to offer an exciting opportunity to catch a different Legendary creature with the chance for a shiny. This month of Legendary Raids in Pokemon GO lines up perfectly with the start of warmer weather in many areas and should make for a busy month of raiding.

Trainers will be excited to learn that the Pokemon being features as part of the special month of weekend raiding are actually all very powerful and relevant to the Pokemon GO metagame. From Darkrai to Altered Forme Giratina, there's a good way to put all of these Legendaries to use in PvP or PvE battles...

Every weekend this month will feature a different Legendary Pokémon in five-star raids! For the entire month of March, you’ll receive an attack boost when you raid with friends.

Darkrai Special Raid Weekend will happen from Friday, March 6, 2020, at 8:00 a.m. to Monday, March 9, 2020, at 10:00 p.m. local time. If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny Darkrai!

Altered Forme Giratina Special Raid Weekend will happen from Friday, March 13, 2020, at 8:00 a.m. to Monday, March 16, 2020, at 10:00 p.m. local time. If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny Altered Forme Giratina!

Cobalion Special Raid Weekend will happen from Friday, March 20, 2020, at 8:00 a.m. to Monday, March 23, 2020, at 10:00 p.m. local time. These Cobalion will know the event-exclusive attack Sacred Sword. If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny Cobalion!

Lugia Special Raid Weekend will happen from Friday, March 27, 2020, at 8:00 a.m. to Monday, March 30, 2020, at 10:00 p.m. local time. These Lugia will know the event-exclusive attack Aeroblast. If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny Lugia!
